Coach
Being diagnosed with a chronic medical condition at birth, I have been told by both physicians and family alike that high-intensity exercise and lifting weights were off-limits and I would need to be careful my entire life. Going against those warnings, I have spent over a decade in strength training, powerlifting, and now CrossFit. It is a commonly known fact that exercise is good for the body, but it holds a higher value to me. I have proven to myself and others that I am capable of living a high-functioning lifestyle despite having a chronic medical condition. That is what working out has given me, and I believe it holds that value for anybody who is willing to invest the effort required.
At the end of the day, the biggest enemy and hindrance to your progress is you. I have often doubted myself or made excuses as to why I cannot do something or have something. That shifted when I shifted my mindset to "why not me?"
My purpose and overall goal as a coach is to teach skills and instill confidence in my athletes so that they can then go off on their own, continue to grow, and do the same for others.
